Do you want to be a leader in saving teen lives? Here’s your chance! Teens in the Driver Seat is looking for teens to be a part of the second TDS Teen Advisory Board.
The application deadline has been extended to Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
The term of the teen advisory board will be from May 1, 2010 to April 30, 2011.
So what will TDS Teen Advisory Board members do?
* Participate in monthly meetings, as well as respond promptly to periodic e-mail requests for input and feedback.

The Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) Teen Advisory Board (TAB) had their third in-person meeting on January 23, 2010. The meeting was held in Dallas, Texas at the Texas Transportation Institute Dallas office.
Five of the thirteen TAB members attended the meeting, including Oscar Cortez, Cori Hash, Brianda Reyes, Ashley Thompson, and Albert Torres.
Major items of discussion at the meeting included:
* TDS Teen Advisory Board involvement at the NSSP Teen Leadership Conference in St. Louis, Missouri this summer…

More than 200 teens and safety professionals gathered on Saturday, November 14, at El Paso Community College for the second annual Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) Summit. That’s 31 high schools, 15 cities, 4 states, and 2 countries that were represented by attendees at the Summit.

I am involved in Teens in the Driver Seat to help save lives by reaching out to young drivers and providing awareness on the risks of driving under a variety of potentially dangerous circumstances/conditions.

The Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) Teen Advisory Board (TAB) had their second meeting via conference call on August 27. This is the first meeting the group has had since the inaugural meeting in July.
