Don’t blame the man for doing his job

Photo by davidsonscott15Some friends and I were munching out on some burgers the other night when Erica decided to tell us about her recent speeding ticket. She would not shut up about this cop, complaining that because of him, she would now have to take defensive driving, be grounded, and that it would cost her a butt load of money.

Now, sure it sucks getting a ticket and having to go through all that stuff. But should she really be blaming the cop for something stupid that she did? The officer was only doing his job. Oh well, that’s what that motor mouth gets for speeding!

  1. i think we should thank him for saving lives everyday. not trash him for doing his job. speeding might not seem like that big of a deal but it can kill somebody. and thats reality!

  2. My friends often complain about being pulled over for speeding. They act as if though they were the victims, when, in fact, it is those people driving around them that are in danger. Though many feed off the adrenaline rush from speeding, others have died in the process of such an unreasonable act. I think that whoever acts like a martyr for getting a speeding ticket should mature and start thinking about others, and not themselves.

  3. I agree! If the person was at fault the driver shouldn’t be blamed for doing his job.
