Don’t Ride With Someone Who Has Been Drinking
It was 2001 and 4 of my cousins were going out to have a good time. The driver had been drinking. One of the passengers had a very bad feeling and went home, trying to get his sister to leave with him but she wouldn’t go. They were speeding down a curvy, narrow road and went into the other lane. They hit a vehicle head on and split the car in half! 2 of them were thrown out because they were not wearing their seat belts. They were killed on impact. The driver was wearing a seat belt so he was trapped under the dashboard, severely injured. He was in a coma for a very long time but recovered. Last that I heard he would never be able to get his license back. He is my cousin, but I lost all feelings for him since he killed not only the 2 people that were with him, but one in the other car too because he chose to drink and drive. They were in high school and still had a long time to live. He has to live with that everyday. I go by there a lot, and every time I look at that field, I remember what happened, and I know now how precious life really is and not to take it for granted because in one split second, it could all end! I hope this story makes an impact on someone else’s life!
