New laws will change the way you get your license

driver_edDriver education is a very important part of learning how to drive. Unfortunately laws have allowed future license holders to slide by with minimal requirements to how much they know before getting behind the wheel. Not anymore. A new law has been passed that will require you to have more experience before getting your license.

The new law requires students to have a minimum of 34 “behind-the-wheel” hours; ten of which will have to be at night. It also requires that “school districts consider offering a driver education and traffic safety course during each school year.”

Another addition to the law will be that drivers who are 21 and under will be required to show proof that they have taken some type of a driver education course.

Stay tuned to t-driver in the next few weeks for more information on changes to laws that will affect you.
